9/3/2023 0 Comments Project x zone 2 ost download![]() I’m pretty happy about playing a game where the story doesn’t mean anything. That is a kind of combo I can easily understand, and it’s exciting in exactly the same way a massive air combo in an action game is.Įverything about this game is… unchallenging. The best part? You’re rewarded with additional damage for timing your attacks properly to juggle the enemy. And if you are standing adjacent to another unit, then you can add their nonsense attacks, too. Then, each “Pair Unit” can be matched with a Solo Unit, adding another chance to attack – simultaneously. Each of their attacks results in both characters just going nuts all over the screen simultaneously, in an explosion of flashy effects and numbers. These can be organized by series (two shirtless Tekken dudes, or Chris and Jill from Resident Evil) or they can be matched up thematically (KOS-MOS and Fiora from Xenoblade, or Strider Hiryu and Hotsuma from the PS2 Shinobi). Most of your crew are “Pair Units,” two characters bundled into a single predetermined unit. It’s not a cohesive story, but it’s a funny, well-written one. hack’s The World somehow, pouring out and joining in comical juxtapositions. It leads to portals opening up everywhere and characters from different places, even virtual ones like. It’s not a cohesive story – it’s all caused by an evil organization called Ouma, in concert with Shadaloo, doing something something rifts golden chains portals who cares. Or when Goro Majima offhandedly muses about becoming a Space Yakuza after meeting Ulala, who then joins the team to help. Like when Phoenix Wright and Maya Fey, accidentally enter the realm of Makai through a manhole in Kamurocho, so Demitri and Morrigan give them the power to fight by yelling “Objection” at monsters, so they can survive long enough to defend Heihachi Mishima at trial. Part of the appeal, of course, is seeing those characters thrown into a blender with everyone else from Namco, Capcom, and Sega, and this game uses that conceit to excellent effect. And it even has Fire Emblem characters in it! It has a battle system that rewards timing more than strategy. Project X Zone 2 has a ridiculous, world-bending story that I want to see through. All you have to do, then, is move your people to their people. It’s easy to just steamroll almost every enemy with every basic attack. I want to have a good idea of where I should position my people in order to efficiently defeat everybody. I want to feel like I understand all the intertwining systems, which means there shouldn’t be that many. Specifically, as little strategy as possible. When I play a strategy game, as a non-strategy player, I look for something a little different from most people. ![]() I mean, I don’t play a ton of strategy games. I sure didn’t expect to love this game more than any strategy game I’ve played before. I’ve mentioned on here before that I wanted to play it in the hope that the strategy stuff would, at least, stay out of the way of joke delivery. I was drawn to Project X Zone 2 after seeing some of its weird, silly, self-referential jokes shared on Twitter. ![]() Project X Zone 2 has everyone in it, and I’m in too ⊟
